MotoGP, Biaggi: "Bagnaia leaving the Ducati factory team? It's possible..."

Francesco Bagnaia's resurgence at Motegi seemed to have definitively ended a difficult period. In reality, that triumph heightens doubts about the Ducati rider's situation: is it possible to go from the technical crisis of August to dominance in Japan, only to then experience further difficulties? It's also a puzzle for Max Biaggi. Speaking to radio station RTL102.5, the former 250cc and Superbike champion analyzed this delicate phase, not ruling out a sensational departure for Bagnaia himself from the Lenovo factory team.
Since MotoGP returned from its summer break at the Austrian GP, Pecco has scored just 61 points. If the World Championship had started in August, the Ducati rider would now be eleventh. The problems are evident, but their origin is unclear, and Biaggi admits: "They say two pieces of evidence are proof. In this case, however, the evidence is scant and even confusing. Furthermore, when you ask for clarification, Ducati won't respond, and Bagnaia speaks in a language you can't understand. It's difficult to understand, even for us in the paddock." A complex situation. And Max doesn't rule out the possibility that all of this could lead to a drastic decision.
Indeed, Biaggi appears uncertain about Bagnaia's future with the Lenovo factory team. Will Pecco remain with the team with which he won two MotoGP world titles? Max explains: "I wouldn't bet my life on it. Manufacturers are always looking to bring forward young riders to provide continuity. It's possible that Francesco will be moved to a satellite team." A complicated scenario, as Biaggi himself pointed out: "It must be said that Bagnaia has a contract with the factory team. That's why it will be difficult to see him in another Ducati team."
